Great Smoky Mountains National Park

There is some tension in the idea of visiting the busiest national park in America with the goal of seeking some sort of solace.  But that is exactly what drew me to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I was in need of a reset and the fresh spring greens, rushing rivers, and scenic overlooks delivered. I spent my mornings on the overlooks the afternoons jumping from rock to rock through the creeks and rivers looking for cascades and interesting patterns and my evenings in Cades Cove. The famous blooming dogwood trees (Cornus florida) added a special touch to many of the scenes. I went to Great Smoky Mountains National Park for the opportunity to continue growing as a photographer and a chance to personally recharge, even in a busy park I was able to escape and get exactly what I needed.

I hope you enjoy the images in my Smoky Mountains gallery. For more information, please contact me.
